If youíve started to sell, publicise and promote your creative work, then protecting your ideas and making sure you donít get ripped off should form an inherent part of your professional strategy.
This Own It event will offer a basic guide to the law, covering the steps any creative professional should take in order to stop somebody else stealing or otherwise using your work without your permission (including copyright, patenting, trade marks, licensing and design rights.) There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Sarah has worked at Briffa since 2002, qualifying in December 2004. As with most of the solicitors at Briffa, Sarah has worked equally on both dispute resolution and commercial intellectual property matters for a wide variety of clients including those in e-commerce, digital design, sport, fashion, branding, design and music. Sarah has presented several seminars to various audiences on subjects including e-commerce, data protection and copyright. She also contributes regularly to various trade publications.
